True Blood: “Turn! Turn! Turn!”
Turning friends and turning tricks.

This past Sunday was the season premiere of our favorite bloodsucking series, True Blood. Following a dynamic season finale of Game of Thrones I was ready to be thoroughly impressed.
Season four ended with death and rebirth. Shocker coming from this series. Of course we had to see what happened to Tara. We had left her lying in Sookie's arms with half of her head missing after taking a bullet from Debbie Pelt. Debbie was dead. Finally. So the obvious thing to do was to turn Tara much to Pam's dismay. Now, Tara. I could take her or leave her. Her southern accent offends my ears at times and as a vamp she will be more passionate and more grating but that’s my problem to handle on Sunday evenings. Sookie and Lafayette got dirty, took a shower or bath, then got dirty again.
Bill and Eric started off with pleasant and friendly banter then ended up being taken by the Vampire Authority. Jessica messes with Jason's head while sowing her teenage oats with some college kids. Jason finds out a homosexual vamp is in love with him. We see Andy Belfeur's ass which to me felt like the "true death". Sam, being the hero he always is, stayed nude through most of the show and took a beating for Alcide. Then as a topper, Eric was reunited with his "sister" whom he proceeded to bang and tongue kiss many an uncomfortable time. Is there somebody at HBO trying to tell us something? Is incest best? Personally, I say no but it seems there's a lot of that going on these days on HBO.
All in all, there was so much going on in this season premiere. There were explosions of bodies and cars. There seemed to be a need to let us know what every single character had been up to. It was exhausting at times and when you finally relaxed Eric was tonguing his sister again. I’m anxious to see next week's episode hoping things will settle down a bit. Everything just seems a bit disjointed and out of control. But hey, we got to see Sam and Eric's ass. And oh yeah, Andy's. Yuck. See you next week!
