True Blood: “Hopeless”

Who ever said you could trust a vamp?

July 16, 2012 10:37 amSlade

I would call this a filler episode however it did end with quite a bang. Last week we left Eric, Bill, Sookie, Alcide and Doug with Russell Edgington. A growl was heard and we assumed something had happened to Alcide. Well something did happen to Alcide. He was being dragged away by another wolf. Chaos ensued and Russell came to Sookie in a flash ready to taste her sweet fairy nectar. Sorry, Russell! Sookie has fairy magic in her hands which sends him flying against the wall leaving him with a witty comment about loathing that part about her. Eric goes to kill Russell but The Authority arrive and say, "We'll take it from here." One of the head Authority dudes tells Bill and Eric that Alcide and Sookie know too much so Bill suggests a little glamouring. We know Sookie doesn't get affected by that so Bill and her have a moment where he says she won't think of them anymore. Oh, how sweet. Eric glamours Alcide and tells Alcide that he's now going to be turned off by Sookie but will protect her with his life. Unfortunately for Eric, the next morning when Alcide acts all weird with Sookie she shows him what happened that night before. "Oh, J.D.", says Alcide. Hmmm?

Sam and Luna are taken to the hospital so neither of them died. Emma scampers off to Grandma Wolf's house. Granny shows up at the hospital with Emma and Luna has to give in and ask Granny Wolf to watch Emma so they can find who is killing off Supes. Could it be that weird guy with the shop that has all the weapons to kill Vamps and Supes? Ding ding ding!!! Correct!

To J.D we go. J.D., if you all remember is part of Alcide's pack. He doesn't like Alcide and has pretty much taken over as packmaster. Enter Alcide. They get all poofed up and in each other's faces until Alcide mentions J.D. drinking vamp blood! NO! The pack gasps! Alcide challenges J.D. to take his rightful place as packmaster.

Jason takes Sookie to the fairy bar where all is revealed about the vamp who killed their parents. Sookie says, "NO!" Fairies say, "Yes." He was drawn to Sookie's blood that was left on a band-aid in the backseat of her parents car. Ew, dirty band-aids are nasty.

Weird scenes. Terry and Patrick see the "Ilfit" after their buddies place explodes with fire. Terry tells Arlene he's cursed by a big smokey thing and has to leave or she and the kids will die. Nice job, Terry. Way to be there. Lafayette goes to see the weird lady from last week that saw the same Jesus head. It's his mama. She's so crazy and keeps babbling on about things then says "Jesus likes faggots". Can we get rubber bracelets that say that? JLF?

So to end it all, The Authority congratulates Bill and Eric for capturing Russell. Eric asks to see Nora and she keeps going on about Lilith. Side note, I only think of Lilith from "Cheers" when they mention her name. Anyway, she leads us to believe it was Lilith who dug up Russell and says it's all going the way it was planned. Roman, The Guardian, decides to execute Russell but in True Blood fashion all hell breaks loose. Literally.

Let's hope next week is less filler more killer, see ya then!
