So, in my previous recap I said this show could become either horrible and unwatchable, or great, and - hooray! - it became great! I mean it, the third episode was amazing! It contained everything that must be in a good horror show: unknown danger, disorientation due to loss of one of senses, paranoia, panic, confessions, everything. So good. It reminded me of the episode of Buffy when the whole city lost voices and some people were getting their hearts ripped off, but couldn't scream for help. I think it was the scariest TV episode ever, and now I'm regretting that I compared it to The River, because The River wasn't nearly that scary, but still, it was a step in the right direction.
I'm just gonna write down everything that was done great (or not) in this episode, because mostly the episode was about people panicking and screaming, so there is not much to recap. All you need to know is that everyone except A.J. went blind and were hunted down by the Morsegos, who were either ghosts or creatures or people, I don't know, couldn't figure out. Anyway, here are my notes about The River's third episode "Los Ciegos":
A.J. is great when he is really pissed off.
In the beginning of the episode we've learned A.J.'s tragic story, the main side effect of which is that he is totally not okay going to the caves. That was actually the reason he was the only one not blind by the 25th minute of the episode. And then he left his team, blind and helpless, for good, but found - absolutely randomly - the tree under which there was supposed to be the cure for them. And he decided to help them after all. Needless to say, good deeds never go unpunished.
I'm feeling for you, A.J, caves are just the worst.

Well I totally saw that coming, but Tess is so boring I didn't care. But yeah, there was one heartbreaking scene were Clark tried to sacrifice himself to save everybody. Still, Tess is boring, Clark, you can do better.
Clark came clean to Kurt. Also, Kurt almost killed Clark. In other words, everything is really bad between Clark and Kurt.
In a moment of panic and frustration Clark approached Kurt and asked him to call his friends, saying he heard all his conversations and knew about Kurt's secret agenda. I'm guessing Kurt won't let it go, especially now after he almost killed Clark and their conflict will escalate. Also, if Clark one of those guys who would let Emmet die just to have Tess all to himself? I'm guessing no, but who knows, really.
The Morsegos, whoever they were, took Emilio's vision first.
My guess it is because the were "judging" them, and Emilio was in jail so he must've been murdered somebody? It's unclear when Kurt went blind, because he was faking for a while, but next after Emilio were Tess and Clark, I guess there were being punished for their affair? That is possible that I'm over thinking this though.
Blind Lincoln was operating on Clark after finding out that he used to bang his mom.
I don't understand why people don't like Lincoln, the guy is a badass!
Jahel knows A LOT.
How did she know all that stuff? What even is she?

Check out Lincoln's new hairdo, made by Lena.
That's… a little bit better, I guess? Not sure.
Also, Lena wears glasses.
Yeah, we get it, she is not just eye candy and she is smart. And the chosen one. Wherever you say.
Some actually scary stuff happened!
The Morsegos were very persistent in hunting down the team, and they couldn't do anything about it except cry and hide (because they were blind). I was really scared for Clark you guys. But I got even more scared when this happened:

Ugh, get over yourself, A.J., this was the worst. Although, A.J. was there also, so the guy had it all, basically. How much do you get paid, A.J.?
As I was saying, this episode was simply delightful (in a weird, horror way). The only thing I missed during it was Emmet. Come back soon, dude (as a dragon, preferably). See you soon, The River! Keep it up, girl!
